The abacus turns

MATHS INTO A GAME

One of the most important superpowers in ALOHA is the calculation skill. In order to train this ability, the students use the abacus.

Children learn how to calculate by handling the abacus beads, as if it were a beads game. The fact of “touching” the numbers with their fingers eases the procedure of learning the mathematical concepts of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, power, square root...

Maths into a game

And little by little... arrives the

MENTAL CALCULATION

Eventually, the students stop using the physical abacus and begin to calculate mentally. How? Imagining the abacus in their minds and moving the beads mentally.

Thanks to that, they greatly develop their mental agility, they improve their concentration, they train their memory...
